For those who are out in nature for more then one day,cooking is one of the most comon tasks.
In bushcraft there are many different ways of how to set up cooking gear above a campfire.
One of my favorite ways is the simple pot hanger that is adjustable in its height. But sometimes that is not enough and you have the need to move your hanger to the left and right. Today that was the case for me, so I did a modification to this simple construction. The pictures below will help me explain what I did different.
Above you see how it all fits togheter. With the normal pot hanger,the back end is fixed in the ground and reinforced with ankersticks or heavy stones.
